Program Schedule

Program Schedule

Our day program operates Monday–Friday from 8:30am–3:30pm with extended care available until 6:00pm (see below). This includes morning and afternoon snack, along with a lunch that the whole group helps prepare and cook!

Daily Activities

Daily Activities

We believe every person who attends our center should have access to activities that promote fun, creativity, movement and social connections. Because of this we have a wide variety of activities on the calendar every day! Zumba, Music therapy, Tai Chi, Baking lessons, Therapy Paws pet visits and so much more happen in the center every week!

Monthly Field Trips

Monthly Field Trips

Every month we go on field trips to do various activities such as bowling, swimming/splash pad, yoga, the library, and local restaurants. We love exploring our community and experiencing new things!

Meals and Snacks

Meals and Snacks

Mealtime at Inclusions is more than just food. It’s a chance to build life skills and connections. Sharing meals together helps develop important social skills like conversation, cooperation, and respect for others’ needs and preferences. We serve two nutritious snacks (morning and afternoon) and a well-balanced lunch each day, with a rotating menu that introduces a variety of foods. We accommodate all dietary needs and allergies to ensure every participant is included. Participants play an active role in mealtime by helping to plan, prepare, serve, and clean up. Through these hands-on experiences, they learn valuable skills like setting the table, preparing simple meals, and practicing safe food handling. These life skills build confidence, independence, and a sense of contribution to the group.

Inclusions Garden

Inclusions Garden

Our garden is a hands-on, get-your-hands-dirty kind of space where learning happens naturally (and sometimes with a little mud). With the help of amazing volunteers, participants help plant, water, weed, and harvest while enjoying fresh air and good company. Gardening is a great way to build life skills like responsibility and teamwork. It also gives everyone a chance to move their bodies, try something new, and see real results from their efforts. Best of all, it’s social. Working side by side with volunteers gives participants the chance to build connections, share stories, and be part of something meaningful — one tomato at a time.

Community Involvement

Community Involvement

At Inclusions, we love getting out and exploring what our community has to offer! We partner with local businesses and organizations to give participants exciting, hands-on experiences that are both fun and inclusive. From walks along the Grand River to afternoons at the splash pad, bowling trips, and visits to local parks, our outings are all about getting active, enjoying nature, and making memories together. We also take full advantage of local gems like the Caledonia pool and library. The fun doesn’t stop there. Sometimes the community comes to us! We've hosted therapy dog visits, group Zumba and yoga sessions, live music, art therapy, and more right at our center. Every activity is designed to be accessible and engaging for everyone, helping participants try new things, build confidence, and have a great time doing it.
